Eric Myers joins the ASPIRE Office as the Program Coordinator, after 6 years as the Service-Learning Coordinator in the Programs for Multi and Interdisciplinary Studies at WVU.
Eric received his Ph.D. in political science from WVU. His dissertation focused on the use of experiential education to increase student development of social capital. His goal is to understand how higher education institutions can help democracy grow by making more engaged and informed citizens.
He holds a M.A. from WVU and Indiana University of Pennsylvania; earning his B.A. at Saint Francis University. As his research highlights, he is very interested in civic engagement and the student experience, both at college and in democracy in general.
Additionally, Eric currently serves as a faculty advisor for WVU’s Model United Nations (MUN) team, and he has led trips to Erfurt, Germany; Xi’an, China; New York, NY; and Washington, D.C..
