Pre-Law Prep Program
Designed to help WVU students prepare to apply for law school, the Pre-Law Prep Program provides a series of workshops and events, feedback on application materials and individual support.
The program provides:
- Insight into the practice of law and the law school experience
- Help preparing for the law school admissions process
- Tools needed to make informed decisions regarding law school
- Opportunities to enhance candidacy for law school
Eligibility
The program is for WVU students who plan to apply for law school the following academic year, under one of the following three categories:

The WVU College of Law will provide priority review of law school applications to students who successfully complete the Pre-Law Prep Program.Program Structure
The required program timeline is as follows:
- Sophomores in the 3+3 program who plan to apply for law school the following academic year
- Current juniors who plan to apply for law school the following academic year
- Current seniors who plan to take a gap year and plan to apply for law school the following academic year

The required program timeline is as follows:- Fall and Spring
- Attend 6 out of 12+ program events during the academic year.
- Summer
- Submit 2 drafts of your personal statement to ASPIRE for feedback.
- Submit 2 drafts of your resume to ASPIRE for feedback.
