Knight-Hennessy Scholarship

Program Information

The Knight-Hennessy Scholarship is a highly competitive full-cost award for full-time graduate study in any subject available at Stanford. Knight-Hennessy Scholars are selected based on the following criteria: independence of thought, purposeful leadership, and a civic mindset.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Knight-Hennessy Scholarship you must be:
  • Applying to enroll in any full-time graduate degree programs at Stanford.
  • In your final year of study for your first bachelor's degree OR within four years of earning your first bachelor's degree. For example, if you are applying in 2018, you must have graduated no later than January 2014 or be graduating by September 2019.
  • Able to meet the requirements of the Stanford graduate degree programs you are pursuing

Award Information

The scholarship provides funding for up to three years of study at Stanford. Funding includes tuition and fees, a stipend for living expenses, and travel to and from Stanford. Knight-Hennessy Scholars also have access to the Denning House, which provides a location for all scholars to share ideas and experiences.
