National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship

Program Information

The National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship is a highly competitive, portable fellowship that is awarded to U.S. citizens and nationals who intend to pursue a doctoral degree in one of fifteen supported disciplines.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a NDSEG Fellowship you must be:

  • A U.S. citizen or U.S. national
  • A graduating senior; have completed a B.S./B.A. degree in a STEM field; or have completed no more than two years of full-time graduate study in the discipline in which you are applying
  • Pursuing a research-based doctoral degree at an accredited U.S. institution in one of the fifteen supported disciplines (including: aeronautical and astronautical engineering, chemistry, cognitive, neural, and behavioral sciences, etc).

Award Information

NDSEG Fellows benefit from three years of support including a generous annual stipend, full tuition and fees, and medical insurance.
