Cate Johnson

Assistant Director (she/her)

Cate Johnson joined the ASPIRE Office as the new Program Coordinator in 2013. She graduated in 2012 from WVU with an MA in Geography and graduate certificates in both Women and Gender Studies and Nonprofit Management.

She completed her BS at Shepherd University in Political Science. Cate’s research interests include women’s empowerment and grassroots international development.

She and her husband (a WVU alum) have two daughters from Timor-Leste and a young son, and stay busy facilitating their social schedules. Cate loves meeting new students and helping them find opportunities for scholarships and fellowships!
