Sarah Dawn Cooper

Program Coordinator (she/her)

Sarah joined the ASPIRE Office as a program coordinator in 2026. She graduated from WVU in 2017 with a BA in German and a BS Visual Journalism and consequently began her career in higher education working as a Graduate Assistant for the former World Languages, Literatures & Linguistics Department.

She graduated with her MA in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) and Linguistics in 2019 and attended the Slavic Studies program at Otto-Friedrich-Universität in Bamberg, Germany from 2021-2023 on a Deutschlandstipendium scholarship awarded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. 

Sarah has spent much of her career teaching English and German both in the U.S. and abroad, assisting students with test prep, and coordinating stays abroad. She enjoys getting to know students and supporting them along their journey!  Her research interests include English media’s influence on the German language. She also enjoys reading Eastern European and East German literature.
